Nebraska DEVO
Omaha DEVO took shape in 2010, then expanded to encompass Lincoln DEVO and Norfolk DEVO, and ultimately became Nebraska DEVO. It truly takes a village of caring and passionate individuals working together to make the magic happen!
Nebraska DEVO enables high level training & support to more than 80 volunteer coaches who’s dedication and focus is to educate 200+ kids every summer, creating well rounded youth riders and outdoor trail advocates of now & the future.
NICL, Nebraska Interscholastic Cycling League
The Nebraska Interscholastic Cycling League was founded in 2019 as a non-profit (501(c)3) Emergent League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). We facilitate the development of high school and middle school teams/clubs for grades 6-12 and provide the education, training, licensing, and insurance for coaches and volunteers. We also produce high-quality mountain bike events and races that emphasize the value of participation, camaraderie, positive sporting behavior and well-being over competition.

You Can Be a Coach
Nebraska DEVO and the Nebraska Interscholastic Cycling League (NICL) rely on volunteers for Coaching, Staff, and assistance to ensure events run smoothly and safely. If you enjoy being on a bike and working with kids, DEVO and NICL will help provide you with all of the other tools you need to become a Coach! Safety is the number one priority for all children in these programs. All volunteers that work directly with children must pass a background check. No prior coaching experience is necessary!
Coach With DEVO
Nebraska DEVO is proudly powered by 100% volunteer efforts. Trained in First Aid, CPR, coach/child interaction and mountain biking skills, we depend on the volunteer efforts of about 80 coaches every year in Omaha, Lincoln, and Norfolk. Training will be scheduled in all three Nebraska DEVO locations as needed. DEVO covers the tuition for confirmed 2024 Coaches!
Coach with NICL
Passionate and dedicated coaches are the most important aspect of NICL mountain bike teams. The Nebraska Interscholastic Cycling League will provide all the NICA risk management and best practice training you’ll need to jump right in and start coaching. Coach training events are held throughout the year, including an annual leaders summit and on-the-bike skills clinics.
Volunteer Behind the Scenes
Each year, Nebraska DEVO and the Nebraska Interscholastic League see more kids and coaches gear up for a season of dirt and fun, which means they need more amazing humans to help make each season one to remember! Both organizations need help behind that scenes just as much as they need coaches. Please consider joining their volunteers and staff of enthusiastic, welcoming, and passionate humans!
