Greenstreet Essentials Class Sunday, December 1st: 6:00pm-8:00pm Aksarben Shop: 2111 S. 67 ST., Omaha, 68106 Phone: 402-502-3696 The Greenstreet Essentials Class is for everyone, from new to experienced riders, eager to learn about the equipment and services that can help them get the most out of every cycling experience. We will walk the class through the shop and go over apparel, accessories, and tools and how having the right equipment can have a huge impact when riding. Each participant will need to bring the front wheel of their bike to the shop for a hands-on tire and tube change workshop. We will talk about the basics of bicycle maintenance and each participant will learn how to change a tube on their own bike! Itinerary: - Cycling Essentials: Equipment and Apparel - ABC Quick Check Session - Tube Change Clinic - Shop! Class size is limited to five people. The cost of the class covers an inner tube that you will be given for the clinic the evening of the class and the remainder will be placed as a store credit into your customer account. The store credit has no expiration date and you can use it any time towards items or services you may need for yourself or your bike.

Greenstreet MTB OTB (On The Bike) 101 Sunday, October 20th: 12:00pm-4:00pm Swanson Park, 3110 Cornhusker Rd, Bellevue, NE 68147 Greenstreet Papillion Phone: 402-932-0013 Instructional sessions will cover the core fundamentals of mountain biking and will run 3-4 hours. For the first half of the session instructors will show participants how to make sure your bike is in good working condition each time you ride and go over essential items you need for each ride such as a helmet, hydration, etc. Riders will be shown fundamental skills and then be able to practice the drill in a designated skills zone to receive feedback. After the skills practice and a short break Instructors will lead participants on a group ride through the singletrack trails to apply the skills they just learned. Before entering the trails, riders will learn about proper trail etiquette such as when it’s safe to ride depending on trail and weather conditions, what to do if you’re having a mechanical issue, and what to do when coming up on another rider or a hiker, etc. We’ll also stop at specific areas of the trail so participants can be shown some of the technical features like rocks, tree routes, etc., and we’ll point out and demonstrate line choices through those types of sections. Our goal is to help mountain bike riders be safe and have fun on the trails! This all starts with knowing and practicing the fundamentals. With all of our amazing existing local trails and even more being planned and built, the opportunities for fun are growing exponentially and we’d like to help you along that journey! - Pre-paid registration is required to participate. - Class size is limited to 5-6 people (aged 18+). - If trails are not rideable due to rain/storm damage, the 10.20.24 clinic will be postponed to 10.27.24 (same time and location.)

We recommend periodically bringing your bike in for a 2-star tune-up after extended riding, when you hear a squeak, click or tick or just want assurance that everything on your bike is being properly maintained. The 2-star tune-up includes the following labor items: Adjust brakes Adjust derailleurs Lubricate chain, cables, and derailleurs Clean brake pads and braking surfaces Complimentary frame wipe down (NOT a full bike clean) We will also perform a 47-point Greenstreet Bicycle Check as part of this tune-up, a $25.00 value. If you have an insurance claim, this Bicycle Check can discern between parts that just need a little tender loving care and those that need to be replaced. New components and installation are not included in the price of the tune-up. *Please remove all accessories and personal items from your bike(s) before dropping off for Service. Any items or accessories that need to be removed to complete a Service will have an installation fee applied.
